Have Weber, will travel
« on: July 25, 2019, 11:40:43 AM »
We’re visiting some friends in Park Rapids, MN.  They have some beautiful scenery but not a lot of places to eat.  So, as way to show our appreciation for hosting us, I brought the WSM and a 14 pound packer brisket.   I like my backyard, but, wow, what a backdrop to fire a Weber up.  I’m still amazed at what I can fit in the 18 with a little help from a coke can.

That's a good looking setup! I like how you roll!

Nice thinking! I'll have to try that setup.
I swear, when I score a great deal on a 26" I'll stop buying grills... So often.

Brisket cooking method noted! I thought I was gonna have to fire up the char-griller for brisket

The point was heavily trimmed for more bark and burnt ends.  Makes it floppy and easy to wedge under the handles.

Beautiful!  Can't wait to get to the cabin tomorrow for some of the same.

No way dude! You can totally do a full brisket on an 18WSM. I like the Coke can method. I've used a piece of rolled up foil in the past. It will eventually shrink up and you can remove what's underneath (bowl, foil, Coke can).
