Hidden gem
« on: July 25, 2019, 03:21:02 AM »
Some time ago i stumbled upon a marketplace add with a bunch of painted kettles, so i asked some questions and turn out the copper was once a yellow. After many hours of scrubbing, scrapping and stripping this is the finished product. Here are before and after pics. Thank you Matt Bahn CAnnedy for agenting for me.

WTF! Hardly any issues with that one and they painted it? What is wrong with people?

Wow!  That cleaned up!  Did you keep the Ice Mans Grill handle on it?

I keep seeing this grill and I am amazed at how beautiful a kettle was hiding under that hideous paint
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

.... so glad to see her safe and all cleaned up. Had to pack her up quickly as I wanted so badly to see her shine mate! Cannot wait to see her blushing on her first cook... what a beaut!

Yeah cleaned up alright. Has crazing both sides and minor chips out of it but overall good condition. Unsure why they would have  painted it its such a nice colour. I still have  icemans handle but its not on it no.
