Weber mastertouch and moesta pizzaring
« on: May 08, 2019, 12:47:27 AM »
Hello,

I'm new to the bbq world, my wife just gave me as birthday present a weber mastertouch 57cm and a moesta pizza ring.

The pizza ring to bake a good pizza requires me to add some wood sticks to my coal to get flames, but at the same time I found on some forums people discouraging from using flames in the weber, as it might ruin the metal finish and get it to rust.

To be fair I didn't see any word in the weber manual against flames in the bbq,  it only  mentions that flames can be good for giving a crust on your food however it's better not to have too much.

What's your take on this?

Thanks
