‘63 red Wood Dale

Back in October last fall my niece sends me a picture of a red WD. They were cleaning out her husbands grandfathers garage attic and came across it. She asks if I’m interested in it or they would get rid of it another way. I’m like yeah, I’ll take it off your hands.[emoji15]
I get it later in November and move it to the basement for some refreshing.

My niece is visiting us this weekend and requested Reuben tacos for supper tonight. Perfect chance to bring it out of hibernation and get cooking on it. 

I’ll post some pictures in the St. Patrick’s day cook off when my tacos are complete.



Pretty much all original except the thumbscrews were missing, front leg cap, and one bottom vent needed a bolt through it.

So much character! I do have a Red MBH, but nothing like this Wood Dale with a metal lid handle, metal wheels and thumb screws. Great score!
