I picked up a bag of Kingsford Hardwoods Briquettes at Home Depot a while back.  Wasn't sure if this was new or a Home Depot exclusive, etc.

I've used the Professional and Long-Burning from Kingsford, but hadn't seen this before.

Its pricey so I will wait till a sale before I would purchase more.  I do like the flavor that came off of it though.

Got some of the Royal Oak too.  Gona give it a try.  As far as Cowboy brand I still wont touch it with a ten foot pole.  For a while the Cowboy lump was using scrap lumber and the quality was horrible.  Looking forward to trying the RO.

I stick to Weber as there's nothing better to get here in Europe in terms of briquets. It was a "BBQ day" today at one of local DIYs in Holland with 50% off so I had my trunk full of 450 lbs of Weber's stuff[emoji6]

That’s good stuff! Next time at
Walmart grab a bag of RO All Natural. I think you’ll like it even better.

I wonder if they'll ever make an even denser briquette by using the same technologies used to make wood pellet's for stoves and smokers.

I have only been using Kingsford briquettes with all my cooks.  When I picked up my first kettle at a garage sale, it came with about 70# of Kingsford.  Yep a good score.  I am now down to about a half of bag left, so will be looking to buy some more charcoal soon.  I have not had any problem with the original briquettes, but may look to some lump now too.

When I used briquettes it was always Stubbs, not a fan of Kingsford charcoal at all.  Though since I got the WSM I have fully switched to using lump all the time.  Right now I'm really digging the Western lump that Walmart has for 10 bucks for 30lbs.
