We got a decent icing today so I figured I would make a bottom round roast. Any idea on how long this will take?

A few hours.   You picture is making me hungry, that's for sure!  Do you have any liquid in there so it braises?  Some cola actually works pretty good, beef broth would work too.  I do a crock pot roast with coke or Pepsi, French onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup and then toss in the veggies.  Comes out great.

Yes I do. I've since added more. It has a beer and some water and 2 beef bouillon cubes, and onion soup mix. I was figuring at least 3 hours. The roast is probably 3-4 pounds.

It's done. It was very good. It had that bottom round roast flavor that I remember as a kid but not near as dry. The potato and carrots were so tender they were almost creamy.

Thanks guys. It was a fun cook for a week night.

Dave, I grabbed a bottom round because they were out of chuck roast.  That's what I normally do too.
