All Out Mod Gone Out of Control.
« on: October 14, 2018, 12:24:02 PM »
Here's my  mod that started in the summer. A budget busting and time consuming undertaking that's seem to have no end.

Dual gas assist. Single regulator/igniter.

Rotisserie galore. Below are some features.

Smoker mode.

Configurable hanging rods with a retaining bar.

Easily removal cover for rotisserie spit holes.

Charcoal configuration for smoking.
Snake method with or without water in pan.

Arteflame as heat diffuser/charcoal shroud.

Another type of diffuser. Ashes absorbs and prevent oily drippings from burning and smoking during hot n fast cooks.

Smoke circulator/secondary heat diffuser.

Mini minion method or vortex style with a drip pan. Fan diffuser sits above it.

Medium minion.

Overnight minion. Lit charcoal goes in the middle and then center ring removed.

Other diffuser options for minion method.
An 18" stock pot cover.  Placed on the lower grate of the stacker.

17 1/2" mixing bowl as water pan.

Lid can also be placed on top of the mixing bowl. Water optional.

More features.
Warming rack.

Strategically placed handle allows lid to be cracked without sliding off.

A large half pie charcoal basket just in case.

14" & 16" trompo for Al pastor/Shawarma.

Convex inserts.

Dual gas assist or not, sometimes you still need a chimney.  10 gauge ventilated stainless.

VHT SP102 FlameProof Coating Flat Black Paint Can - 11 oz. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CPJLGM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_aP6WBbXB70Q17

It need to be baked 3 times at different temperatures in your oven or in the grill itself. Painted all my buckets black. Finish is quite durable.

You can also order the black ash bucket with the ring if you need them from Weber. They come stock on Red LE and all Canadian MT kettles. Not sure on other kettles that come with it stock.  I am sure Jules has one non painted as he has the Red LE kettle.

@ Jules - Very clean build. I am loving it! Many great ideas going on here including SS charcoal chimney.

Speechless.

Overwhelming.

Where does one begin complimenting the quality and design work?

Stop the mod month fight.

Damn @Jules V. I know this may be a hobby for you but you are very skilled and if you ever decided to sell custom performers I'm sure you'd have a long waiting list of customers.  Nice work.
Looking for: Red MBH 26"(The Aristocrat), Chestnut-coppertone (The Estate), Glen-blue (The Imperial), and The Plainsman.
