Weber 65143 Ash Catcher
« on: August 25, 2018, 08:43:01 PM »
I have an original 22.5 inch kettle grill (2018) and was wondering if the 65143 Ash Catcher is an easy plug-n-play fit or is there some drastic modifications I'd need to do.

Thanks-

No leg removal is required at all and even if you have to its just pin on legs which can be easily removed . You have to put the ring with little adjust around the sweep handles , once its in it will attaché to leg sockets

One caveat, if you put the original grill together, you'll have to remove the legs to take off the spring clips for the ash catcher, or, destroy the clips trying to remove them.

I just put  the same assembly on an OTG.   It took maybe 10 minutes.  Snapped on the ring, installed the pan.  Easy Peasy....
Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...
