I forgot to mention that I also replaced the handles. Brian's wooden handles were a major upgrade, and they do a better job if insulating from the heat than the plastic ones. This is my first experience with a kettle having wooden handles.

Sorry Brian - I want to give the WSM a good cleaning soon, and I will replace them then. Weather hasn't been cooperating too well around here lately. My first priority was getting the RK fixed up.

It ran from for about 4-4.5 hrs or so on about 2.5 chimneys. 1 chimney of lit lump over about 1 chimney of rancher briquettes. Added another 0.5 chimney of rancher about midway. Note that I used a water pan to help with temp control.
