It's supposed to say " happy cooker" on the lid vent according to the owner, the wheels appear to have red metal caps on them , like you said it's red so it's worth a chance

Maybe it's the missing link lol

That's a great looking grill. I bet they had the same porcelain supplier back in the day, otherwise that finish would not have held up!

Sweet, love it! The chrome vents are cool.  The handles are ugly, but do say HH.
I think you have a rare bird. It has to be an early one, since all the ones I have seen have removable plastic...ish handles. Please let me know if you ever decide to part with it.
Congrats!

As far as I know, happy Cooker was its own company. Its my beleif that Weber made the grills for Sears.. Slightly different, no Weber name on them anywhere.  8)

Were the wheels still stamped Weber somewhere but without the white sidewall? I've read that around the boards

I've seen plain, "No name" wheels.. Weber still sells parts for the Sears Economy Kettle. They  no longer sell the internal ash pan. I am not sure who made the bowl with the indentation in it.  8)

Idahawk, do you have any insight on how your ashpan is made? It seems like it would be a bear to drill all the holes. Do you think the holes were stamped out in the flat stock then pressed?

The pans are factory made and then coated.  I would imagine a machine drilled the holes.

I think it's pressed with the holes already in it , and that causes the holes to stretch into the oblong shape they are. It's really a heavy duty piece .

My neighbor used to work there, back in the day. His name is Larry Board. We called him LUMBER! Seems like he used to bring grills home. Looked like WEBER grills.Just never had any legs for them. Damn, that's been many a year ago!!

There were a lot of hard working people at Unarco. I left in 1982 before they moved to Louisianaa few years later.
