Thanks, I will keep that in mind.

Troy, did you sell it to a buddy or something?  Why did you sell it for what you paid?

Troy

I sold it to a coworker.

I have a reputation for my grills apparently. This summer I've had 5 different people come to me requesting my help in getting them a grill.

3 down. 2 more to go.

I wonder who is going to be the first person here to acquire each and every grill on the Weber timeline poster..... 8)

Jeff

I'd put my savings on NOBODY getting all of them!

I get that same feeling.  I wonder if Weber HQ even has all of em?  I want that spider web glazed one.  I'd be content in my quest if I found that one.

Jeff

I saw that grill listed one time a couple years on some Clist ad somewhere not local to me.  I emailed about it but never got a response back.

any particular reason you want a flat top 26?

Craig

I guess I mean the old style 26"ers (70s-90s). They're neat looking, though I would snag a modern one in bright red if they made one. Or even a 60's round top one.

Duke

Your red round top 26'r is schweet troy! :D

Troy

i love my red 26, just wish i could cook on it more often!

Just out of curiosity, what keeps you from cooking on it?  :)

I often forget that Weber started with round top lids on the 26", hence the Westerner from 1958 had the rounded lid top. I tend to think of the more prominent flat top lids of the 1970s and 80s when i think "old school" . But to re emphasize, I'd take a "hunter's pink" or a chocolate in either style. Though I'm not sure if chocolate 26"ers existed in the round top era?? I could be wrong.
