Jan M.

Not bad!
Both appear to be in good condition!
I like the deep red esp of the 1997 kettle.

To be honest I like the ltd edition too. Different red but somehow also cool.
Best regards,
Jan

Is the new red even porcelain? It seems like it's just a high heat paint over a black grill.

Nice rescue and restores of all older Reds. Ya, you may not need or want the new LE Red at this time, but I think you love Red Webers way too much not to have considered or get one in the future.

All new and old Weber kettles are all porcelain coated inside and out.

Craig

Still going strong on the reds! Love it!

@swamprb I have 2 grills where the ash sweep assembly is rusted frozen. Do you cut off the handle and then just bang bolt out of the bowl?
Together we'll fight the long defeat.

I got me a RED LE ordered from a Local Store.  Will inspect them both before I take one home.  Hopefully the one I get will be a good one, or I will reorder.  I need to be patient and lucky.

If it's the wing nut type like I have shown with the cutoff tool then yes
