What to do next?
« on: February 03, 2018, 05:00:54 PM »
So I picked up this 18 inch kettle today off Craig's list.  Just needs work on the ash sweeper that is locked up.  I will also need to upgrade the dinner plate ash catcher.

The guy also sold me this for $15.  The bowl is in bad shape and has a few rust holes.  Any advice on options to repair bowl or is it shot?  I have an extra 22 black bowl from a regular kettle.  Maybe mod somehow to the cart? Not sure what I just got into but I'd like to use the table and I dig the plum kettle. The lid is in good shape.  Worst case scenario is that I scored some parts.  Many thanks in advance!

Hi, Nice find. My first Weber was a 22" grey one I picked up at a yard sale ON THE WAY to buy a gass BBQ! Fate.. I unlocked my ash catcher by soaking it in salad oil
26" Orig. Premium Black, 22" Orig. black, 22" Jumbo Joe black, 14" Smokey Joe black. More to come.
