Simply stated "Stunning"
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill

I put the offset steel hub ribbed on my red ssp.

Both are much more sturdy and stout than the weber plastic wheels and both have bearing hubs.

The grey hub is plastic and the red hub is metal.

Both of these require spacers to work with the 3/8" SSP axle.

I think I used two of these per wheel.  The Red is a different size.  I've since found them at my local hardware store.

Also, the Weber axle may not fit these wheels.  I used these, SS, in a 28.75" length, I think for both style of wheels.  I'd get the wheels, push nuts, and washers you want to use and then measure for length of axle to use.  The factory axle might be the same size or larger, which could simply be cut down.

Leave as is or do something to protect bad spots?

I’m a fan of oiling them to prevent further corrosion. I don’t like painting them. I would fear paint, even high heat, would not age as well as the porcelain.

Others here will have differing experiences and opinions.

I seriously love it. I wish we could buy ones like that today, but I know they'd be cost prohibitive.
