Santa brought me a rotisserie!

It was beautiful out today, about 72* and sunny. My very first red got the nod for the inaugural spin. I used my SnS with Nature's Own lump. Had all daisy wheels wide open. I was monitoring the pit temp with a Dot that was placed on my yellow. Temps built to about 375 and stayed there for about an hour, then crept up to 450! I didn't expect that. Closed all bottom dampers until it got back down to 370 then opened 1 up to finish off the chicken. I loved the flavor and the skin was tasty and easy to eat. I'm going to do another one tomorrow, maybe with just 2 bottom vents open.
