‘86 Redhead 96% Restored SMH
« on: March 23, 2024, 02:02:34 PM »
Putting the finishing touches on this restore project and realized my two ash pans were for 26”s!! Shaking my head (SMH) at myself.

Didn’t want to delay longer, anyone want to comment (good or bad) on leaving the larger ash pan on that sits lower?  Is it better or worse to have oversized pan to catch more ash or just it scream disrespect??

I like the way the grill came out and kudos to @zavod44 for the stellar handles!!

Nice work Bobby!  Love the handles…. The purist in me says get the correct ash pan… But heck, I put custom wheels on many, so I say if you like it keep it like it is.  Some people put buckets under them lol…[emoji2]

Wow looks beautiful. I find that the ash pan, unless it’s completely calm out will not catch all the ash. I’ve seen some of the overseas versions with an ash bucket underneath. Try it out and if it works go with it. I don’t know if the extra distance will still allow ash to escape.

The grill looks amazing, If you need the correct ash pan, stop by, I'll fix you up
Seeking a Black Sequoia I know I know, I'd settle for just the tabbed no leg grill
