In praise of the 18
« on: December 19, 2017, 04:40:03 PM »
I feel that the 18 Silver is the most underrated grill in the weber line up!!
I have 15 Weber’s .. from 14” to 37”
And my 18 is my go to grill when I come home from work to cook for the family ... fast to light great heat .. weather it is with my DO or to do some sausage .. it rocks!!

I do love my 18! It looks just like yours. I think the lid fits so much more snug and perfect than my 22’s.

My 18 jack is my go to the family. But I use my 22 when I'm doing a whole meal at once

I hardly ever use my 18's, but I love looking at them.

An 18" ots is the same as riding around in a six cylinder mustang. Not reaching its full potential. I respect the silvers but the golds look better, I quickly converted my plum into an otg. Just being a trouble maker. LOL.

That is truth, brother. And I like that you put up a pic of a "workmanlike" kettle. Not polished up, but just doing the job.

I love my 18.  It was my first grill and still gets used all the time.

My first Weber was a 18 ots. I upgraded to twenty more grills and loaned it to my sister. When she was done with it, I made it an otg and now my parents use it almost daily instead of their 22. It started my obsession with Weber and grilling in general. Great little grill.
