Rotisserie for the 26.75 Kettle?

Hey guys, just wanted to pass along a bit of information to anyone looking to buy a rotisserie kit for the Weber Kettle 26.75. Cajun Bandit has been out of these units for a while now. At noon today, I received word from Chris Perres at Cajun Bandit that he just got in a very, very small limited supply of these - only 27 units. At 4pm this afternoon, I purchased one for myself and at that time they were already down to 24 units. I just checked a few minutes ago and now there are only 20 units left!

If anyone is seriously interested in having one of these, you better act quick before they're gone. I'm figuring that at the rate they are selling, they will probably be gone by this coming weekend?

If they're selling well, why aren't they restocking them?  Clearly there's a market for them...

They are restocking them. That's what the latest batch of 27 units is.

Ah ok, I misinterpreted it as being a final batch and then that was it after the 27 sell.

I do agree that something that sells as good as this ought to be in stock perpetually.

Update: Only 15 units left. 12 sold in the last three days. Better get'em while you can.

Thanks for the tip @ramsfan.  Mine is on the way ! ! !

Wish Weber (or CB?) would take note at the number of 26ers out there and make a Gourmet System for it.

Yes, I agree. I can easily think of 20 (accessories/new products/improvements) that Weber could (and should) easily produce:
The first thing at the top of the list would be a GBS grate for the 26 kettle.

...and how about just making a whole 26" Performer?

...and what about a rotisserie for the new Summit Charcoal?

...and how about a predrilled hole in the base of all WSMs for ATC devices like the new Summit Charcoal has?

...how about including a handle light on the new Summit Charcoal like the Summit Gas grill comes with?

...how about breaking the HUGE cooking grate for the RK in three separate pieces like the gassers have?

...what about a lid bale for the WSMs?

Oh hell, I have 100 more of these crazy ideas I could keep going with....

My wife, too tired for subtle hints and not wanting to get me BBQ things I can't use, asked me what I wanted for my birthday.

Suffice it to say...a 26.75" Roti is on its way!

Some nice ideas, @ramsfan.

If there's a market for $2,000 Summit Charcoal "Performer" then there's probably a market for a 26er version, too.  Not in the same class as my idea, though, because there are already thousands and thousands of 26ers out there right now.  They've got a captive audience.  It would take them, what, 12 minutes, to put the plans together, maybe a couple of days to reset the jigs in their factory, run off a hundred or so, sell 'em for $50 and see what happens.  Even if you and me are the only ones that buy them, well they really wouldn't be out that much, would they?

Right now, on their website, they only make one for the 22.  If they see enough Summit Charcoals, then maybe CB will see that there's a market, and do it for them.

That's what they did on the WSMs for the probe grommet, so it's in the realm of possibility.

Just from the website pics, the light looks like it would fit.  I'll bet you can already buy it as a replacement part.

If there are thousands and thousands of RKs out there, it might be profitable idea.  Of course, by adding the GBS grate to 26er, not only would they be selling the grate, but they would also be selling, at least, some of the accessories to us 26er owners that have no way to use them now.  Plus . . . Plus ! ! !

Due to shape of the dome of the WSM, this would, actually, not work.  Good idea though ! ! !  But, thankfully, those boys at Unknown BBQ have solved the problem by developing their cool hinge.   Just like those cool dudes over at CB have my 26er Roti boxed up and in the mail.

I'd love to hear some more of your ideas ! ! !

I've been lobbying for a 26 Performer for 20 years!
I even thought the "BIG" promotion for the Summit
charcoal was for a 26 Performer.
I guess it kinda was, but I was hoping
for something in the $500 or $600 range.

A Weber handle light for the handle of a Weber Summit charcoal grill will definitely fit. I know because I have two of these lights on my SCGC right now. It's the same handle that is on the Weber Summit S-670 gas grill. I have that grill as well.
