JayCee's Pit yard
« on: July 20, 2017, 02:27:03 AM »
Since @Troy was kind enough to start this section I thought I'd share the progress of my pit yard (I still need to come up with an official name, suggestions welcome).

After being fortunate enough to have experienced the amazing Golly's Gadial Ganing I thought I'd enlist @Golly 's help with building an area for my Kettles and cooking etc. I managed to score some very cheap decking which set things in motion. Basically the plan is to make a rarely used place to the side of our house into something useable. The area is about 30 square meters which should be ample space to work with.

Here are a few pics, with more to come as progress continues. Massive thanks to Golly for his amazing work so far.

Clearing and removing the fence:

Base complete.

Decking installed.

BBQ's added.

Above shot.

The next plan is to put on a roof as well as a screen on the far side as it is adjacent to a fence.

More to come!

Looking good! Can't wait for next meet up at your place
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

Looks great! With a narrowish space like that, you could call it "JayCee's Que-Alley", or for a more Weberlike name: JayCee's AlleyQue

Sounds like a plan @Hogsy . Thanks @56MPG photos do make it look a bit narrow, It's 10 feet across by 29 feet long.
