Freedom fest
« on: June 26, 2017, 06:07:46 AM »
My town has an annual 4th celebration on the last Saturday of June.  Which made it last Saturday. The parade goes right in front of the house. As part of the decorations I had the red and blue mbh kettles flanking my porch and handling cold drinks.  By 6pm I had people over and the red and blue cooked up burgers, dogs, brats and abt's.  I didn't get any food pics as I was too busy once I started cooking for everyone. It was a fun day and these old three wheelers are my favorite to cook on. Also, the city took pictures of me and the wife for their site or social media. I haven't located their pictures yet but I'm sure the kettles are in the shot.

It wasn't until the next day that I realized I forgot to put the ash pans on. They were left off the entire cook.

That's a cool story. Glad you had a good time. Next year you'll have to have the white added along.

Thanks guys. I'm always impressed with how nicely the three wheelers cook both direct and indirect. Here is another shot of the parade.

She is really into the hometown vibe.
A real feel good thread.
