Think about it this way. The metal table is worth $75 new from Weber. So you are getting the rest for only $100.
Many here have an older model performer that would love to upgrade to the newer style metal table. Problem is the new metal table will add to your initial cost.
I was one of them as I had picked up a Gen2 black kettle gas assist performer in good condition (no rust) for $150 plus a three hour road trip.
Then I purchased a few new upgrades:
- new metal table $80
- new wheels $12
- 1998 SSP Redhead for lid/bowl.....$125
- GBS grate... $35
- warming rack $26
- GBS skillet $35
- GBS cast iron searing $35
- wide lid bail $17
- performer cover $59
As you can see, I have way more than what a new Performer Deluxe is worth. To me, it's worth it as I will enjoy cooking in it for many years.
