Well we finally had some nice weather over the weekend. Between things I have started on the stable.
Have some more to work on, but had to get at the fruits. Didn't have time for the leg and triangle clean-up for the Lemon. But my parts for my S/S build arrived. Need to pick up a couple more S/S nuts and finish waters.

Quality photos someday. With more stable to come up. Pics will follow as they get tended to...

Lemon and Lime with the Go to Red S/S.

The Green MT with the Newly built S/S, "The Deck Kitchen." More to come when we get some weather, predicting snow again tonight.

Craig

Nice setup! I love the lime and yellow kettles you got there!

If I can get another S/S, I'm going to fib and copy this build. Really enjoy that Jeff.

@ Buckie, I have a few others that will be appearing. Need the weather to cooperate, to tend to them.

I did some work and played around this week with some of my kettles. Mainly the redheads of the family. So this is "Spotlight on the Redheads". I worked on my '95. I got a '79-'85 style twist ash pan from Mike Stavlund earlier in the year, originally I was going to put that on my black kettle, but took a look at that pic of George Stephen posing with a 22 redhead from the 1980s and decided it best suited my red two tone kettle. The ash pan had 28 years of rust and crust on it, (that's how it was when Mike got it too) I used CLR and Brillo pads to get 'er all cleaned up and finished it off with Mothers Mag, it came out nicely. I added the red hubcaps to the '95. I also restored the original handle on my 1979 redhead and used Teak oil and finished it with Minwax Poly Urethane. It came out very nicely. No need to replace it since it is very solid. The red triangle on it is a spare that I painted, I didn't paint the original, its put away for now so I tried this one out. And of course, I worked on and finished my 1960s 18.5 kettle.

I can't believe that's the same ash pan, Craig!  You work miracles.  Amazing.  That thing came off of a rat I got off of Freecycle, and now its found a second life as a museum piece.

Mine's more show than shine, but the other day I broke out the sunshine to cook up chicken boobs.  Hadn't cooked on it for a while, just love the way the sun sets as it cooks.

Before-sun is shining!!

Once its hot, the sun starts setting.

I noticed that the porcelain is rippled in a couple areas.  You can really see it in this pic.  Anyone ever seen this?

Thanks for perving!
