Grabbed some Weber Grabbers today...
« on: May 15, 2017, 05:04:58 PM »
I found these at Goodwill for a song. I just researched these and read they have been in use since 1982. The Patent for the Weber Grabber was filed on August 31st 1987 and cancelled in 1994.
  So who knows just how old these are but They are in great condition.

17" long. WeberGrabbers tongs, long lasting, stainless steel tongs with rich hardwood handles.

I picked up a pair of these for @Golly recently and wondered if they work well or not.

They are certainly cool, but as far as  functionality goes I think you need forearms like Schwarzenegger

Gotta love those Thrift Stores!!!  Picked up a full set of SS bowls (4) for 2 bucks!!!  Makin' a few Poor Tex's in varying sizes.  I may make one up for the SJ silver cooker...  See how it works for a small batch of wings!! Nothing ventured, nothing gained right!!??!!  :)
Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...

With the odd circular domed shape at the grabbing end, I first thought these tongs were intended to rearrange hot charcoal briquettes.

 I don't have any plans on using them. Will be for display since they are in great condition.

Sausage = tweezers...

Hogsy posted a brochure the other day that has these "Double Duty Tongs" in it.

I'd worry about anything Hogsy posts. Those Aussies can be pretty weird, as bad as some Canadians.
