Pizza done my way
« on: March 04, 2017, 05:29:28 AM »
Thought it was about time I posted some pics for y'all...
I don't have a pizzaQ or Kettle Pizza rig but I love pizza from the grill...
So this is how I make it work...

Creating enough heat is the key...

Then I put in place the bricks...Obviously not fire bricks but they do see a fair amount of fire...

Pizza in a cast iron pan...The bricks create a buffer from the high heat and they raise the pan nearer the top of the grill so top and bottom cook at the same time...

And it looks like this...

Another pizza on another grill on another night...

I have some finished pics but cant seem to get them to load...

This method works for me and I have never burnt a crust this way...Pizza slides right out of the pan ready for slicing...

Thanks for looking...

Great idea and pizza looks great. I'll have to try that sometime. I picked up a pizzaque more for the novelty of being able to watch the fire and pizza bake, but certainly not a necessity as you have shown.

@SMOKE FREAK
Do you flower/prep the pan at all or do you just put the dough in there?
