Weber 7401 tool holder on a Tuck Away kettle
« on: March 29, 2017, 02:29:56 PM »

Quick and easy way to add more utensil storage for my Performer. Would work the same on any Tuck Away kettle. I tossed a zip tie on it to stop it from moving. The standard accessory holder on the Performer does not easily take all of my grill tools dependent on style. Thought I'd share a quick and cheap fix for that.

Thanks! The style hooks on the stock Performer really don't work well for a lot of things. I've noticed early gens have different hooks, more like the 7401 style.

I did something similar on my gen 2.  I took that tool holder and straightened out the tabs that hold it to the kettle, I formed them into a right angle. I loosened the two screws that hold the front side of the kettle and slid the tabs between the frame and the kettle bracket.  Worked out pretty good.

Same here.  Bought a 3rd gen Performer badge  and use it for the charcoal rake, grate lifter and cleaner...the 2 stock holders on the left are for my tongs and spatula/basket handle and the one in the right is for a towel
