I have had this for over a year now and never cooked on it, picked it up for $5. One of the grate tabs is rusted through so I didn't think it'd be any good to cook on and basically forgot about it but after seeing this thread I'm going to clean it up a give it a go. Thanks once again for this inspiration.

Well I am official now.  Just picked up a patent pending kettle. If I am correct it would be around a 1970 because of the rubber wheels. Thought I would post in the patina appreciation thread because I plan to keep it that way.

Any tips to keep the rust front from advancing without hurting the patina look?

Ye old Weber may be about 45 years old but she can still get it done!
