Finished the Avocado
« on: February 28, 2017, 08:29:43 AM »
I've had this for a while. I believe it was azraptor that tipped me off to it last spring or so. Picked it up in the dark down in East Mesa. The guy selling it said it was his deceased neighbors who was the original owner. I've got a couple before pics around here somewhere, but can't seem to locate them. Overall it was in good shape. Just your typical Weber I guess you would say that someone had taken care of but had used since the 70's. It's a patent pending and with these wheels puts it around 70-72 I believe.

Zavod handle and decals, black satin on the wheels and lots of polishing.

Thanks for looking.

SO, on that model was the ash pan designed to be a reflector to concentrate the suns heat onto the bottom of the kettle therefore creating a, forgive me, "Vortex" effect for searing meat to into instant charcoal??......  MAN dude, how did you get that ash pan so freakin shiny?!  All joking aside, IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

That looks amazing.  Your polishing work blows my mind! I have been working on an 18.5" twist on ash pan and thought I was done until I saw this...

I'm done. I'll sell my old grills. They'll never look this good. It's pretty sick. Amazing work

That is such a nice clean up job as usual. You are the only one that I know that cleans up aluminum lid vent, ash pan, and legs to the next level make them look like a chrome finish. Not sure if I want to go that far even if I can. Details on every single parts on this Cado are all amazing.
