Smokenator or firebricks with Guru?
« on: April 07, 2013, 10:13:37 AM »
I have a performer platinum and I am installing a BBQ Guru. Anybody have experience with the Guru and a Smokenator? Or should I just use firebrick?
Also, should I install the adapter above the charcoal grate like some suggest, or below the charcoal grate like the folks at Guru suggest?

Thanks!!

The smokenator is designed to hold temps without having to fiddle with the vents and it works really well, so there's probably no need to use it with the Guru
I'd probably just be using it with the firebricks
I don't have a Guru so I can't comment on where it should be located
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers
