I found this on Amazon the other day https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N74IF7Q/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl

I haven't found anything else about it or any reviews. Anyone here have experience with it?  Looks like it might be thinner materials as the weight is listed at 4.5 lbs, and I'm guessing made in China.

At first glance I would say the holes in the bottom are too small and it would get clogged up.  Figured it was a knockoff from China but the delivery date doesn't match up for that to be the case.

Looks like @ABCbarbecue has a patent on the Slow 'N Sear.  Hopefully they are aware of this...

Fairly expensive poor knock off.  I would not buy that.

First thing you would have to do is cut the bottom out, grind the sharp edges, and hope you don't cause a leak if it doesn't already.

@WKC thanks for bringing this to our attention.  This is news to us.  We'll look into it but a few things are clear.

1) They are infringing on all three of our patents.
2) They are using thinner metal, and it's likely inferior metal to boot since they didn't state 304 SS (and they copied everything else we wrote in our product desctiption)
3) The welds aren't as good as ours.  That bottom mesh looks tack welded and pretty flimsy

We think those in use product photos were actually made by one or more of our customers!

Pretty shady.  Thanks again for bringing this to our attention.

For anyone considering the onlyfire, pay the difference and get the quality of real deal. I bought the original and loved it so much I just got the XL for my 26". They'll last a lifetime.

The REAL SnS is sweet! Only added a 20 or so briquettes of Stubbs on my last pork butt and it was an 11 hour cook.  Best Christmas gift ever.

Looking for: Red MBH 26"(The Aristocrat), Chestnut-coppertone (The Estate), Glen-blue (The Imperial), and The Plainsman.

That's what I was thinking, probably cheap knock off. I'll be getting the Slow N Sear Plus when I do get one.

Darko

It, unfortunately doesn't matter how good the slow & sear is. There will be people that will see the cheaper knock off and go for it just because it's cheaper.

Well one reason we make the SnS out of heavy metal is so the whole thing doesn't tip over when you add water. I think they'll run into issues with that.  A few bad experiences/reviews is all it will take.

And thanks for the support folks. We really appreciate it.

Does the S N S come with gift wrapping available? That could be a deal breaker
