Just some Saturday Boston Butt
« on: January 21, 2017, 08:15:05 AM »
Kroger had Boston Butt on sale $1.49/lb so I got one. Stubbs BBQ rub, SnS with Stubbs and 2 chunks of apple wood. It almost 60 today in Ohio, kind of bummed about it. I don't mind the colder weather. Been on about 2.5 hours.

Nice looking cook.  Nice weather for Ohio.  No snow?  Used to live in NE Ohio so I know what the weather is like.

Not many Captjoe. We'll probably freeze quite an it if this. Nice to heat it up for a quick week night meal. I am planning on giving a container of it to my neighbor.

My teenage kids and their friends could tear through that in no time. Just wait until the kids get older and you'll see. I spend a lot on meat but it does make me happy to feed people.

Thanks man. I hope it turns out great. First one I've done that had 2 stalls. One around 142 IT and one at 162 IT. Coming out of stall 2 now so I should have some pics soon.

Finished product. Flavor is good. It isn't dry. I pulled it early only because I have to be at work tomorrow by 6 AM. Took it off the kettle at 185. A little tough to pull but it'll still make some good leftovers. Thanks for looking.
