I usually give mine a good cleaning in the spring and fall. Otherwise, just scrape em down and burn em off during peak usage months.
Not everyone deserves to know the real you. Let them criticize who they think you are.

I have a Weber.  thoroughly cleaning it with an oven cleaner every year is everything it needs. Wash it after each use and before using it for a few hours. If you don't know how to clean a grill, you can follow the guide.https://www.cuou.net/how-to-clean-a-grill.html
1. Scrape with a grill mate when it's cold
2. Brush with a wire brush.
3. Heat it up.
4. Wet some paper towels and wipe the bar.

Butcher paper and bare hands, unless I'm in a hurry then you just eat straight from the grate

I brush my grills before cooking and I bet the 400-500 degree heat will sterilize them.

BTW.  Looks like someone went to Rudy's or someplace in Lockhart, Llano or Austin.  :)

Rudy's was the first thing to come to mind when I saw that too. It's been way to long since I've had the "moist" brisket...

Presently Natural Gas grills are another entire thing Natural Gas grill. No, that isn't the standard. From your Home Improvement store you can locate an exceptionally utilitarian Natural Gas Grill for around 300 dollars that will keep going for quite a while
