Wings on the 26
« on: November 13, 2016, 05:49:33 AM »
I did about 12lbs of wings on the 26. Seen some post about if it would work setting it up like the 22 with charcoal baskets in the middle and wings on the outside. Didn't find any results on it but tried it and it worked. Took about 1hr and 45min tho instead of 45min to an hour like with the 22. Filled baskets with a full chimney which put it at 450 for about an hour then started to drop. When I took lid off the coals were just about gone. Put in about 3/4 more of a lit chimney and they were done about 45min later. They were actually cooked at an hour just not crispy like we like them

Probably my single favorite thing off the grill.  What seasoning and sauce?

I haven't tried the 26 with this method but my wings are done and crispy in 30 min. On the 22".

Thanks guys. I love the 26, so much room. No sauce just these two seasonings. Picked them up at sams club yesterday. They are both fantastic!!! Was gonna do half the wings with one and half with the other. Then decided I would do one side with the franks, then flip them and do other side with the Sriracha garlic. Excellent flavor combining the two.

@Travis I think I had a couple hundred on the ranch. Nowhere near that many here, but just as fun [emoji1303]
