Unscientific charcoal comparison
« on: May 11, 2022, 05:16:56 PM »
One two three four, I declare a flame war!

I have wings going in the tumble basket on my roti. Exactly the same cook setup that I used the last time I did this. The only difference is that last time I used Jealous Devil lump, and this time I’m using Kingsford Professional. By my IR pyrometer, I’m seeing 30-40°F exterior lid temperatures with the briquettes. Even accounting for the ambient temperature being warmer today, that’s still probably 20° hotter with the Kingsford.
