This particular lake is pretty small, and while we've caught all kinds of bass, crappie and bluegills, I've never seen a walleye. There's a nearby lake called Coldwater Lake that's larger and might have larger variety of fish. Never been at the lake in winter though - my MIL's cottage isn't heated, so it's only used from spring to fall.

Crappie are the best anyway! Bluegill/perch is up there. Walleye and sauger are pretty tasty, and they have more meat on them lol.

I will eat anything breaded and deep fried though
