Rotisserie Chicken
« on: September 13, 2016, 07:46:41 PM »

I picked up a rotisserie for free at the beginning of summer on a CL "curb alert". Kept finding excuses not to use it. I have to thank @Travis for continuing to ask if I had the chance to use it.  Finally threw a bird on the spear tonight.  Added some apple wood chunks and 1 1/2 hours later dinner was ready. Now I see what everyone is talking about. Hands down the most moist chicken I have ever had off a charcoal BBQ. That thing will be spinning a lot more frequently in the future.

Looks great man! That rotisserie is a great accessory for a grill.
Sure like your carving knife too. Sharp.

@varekai- I have several proteins I want to try on the rotisserie, especially a pork roast and a rabbit.

@Travis- The knife is a Shun "Bob Kramer" 6" chef's knife. Here is better photo that better shows the beauty of the steel.

That Red Head looks like a big Bing cherry. Beautiful sight, and nice job on the bird!

@shock_me -  The old redhead before she gets hot and angry. It is amazing how it changes from bright red to the deep, angry red.

Made chicken sandwiches for lunch today with some of the breast meat.  I think it was even better than last night.

And while cooking

Nice dude! I haven't been the most active lately but I'm a fellow NorCal grillfella and I hope we get to meet up soon.
