Of corse for me, at the end of the day, the lid vent could say PAT McGroin and I'd still gladly cook on it. It's a Seville! Love em! Hope to get one someday!

This might be the quote of the century.

Perhaps my previous post wasn't clear. There is no patent pending or a patent number.

+1 on the patina.

Just clean it and stop the rust.  What an awesome rig.

This I thought was interesting.

The Seville cost US$169.00 in 1967.  In today's dollars that equates to US$1215.00

In Canada it was C $180.00. Today it would would be almost CDN$1600.00

Damn. I think I like those 67' prices better!

Hey Darko, let's see a full out cookout on the alpha and omega duo. That would make for a bad ass thread, man! No pressure, really, [emoji6]

Absolutely mindboggling.  I'd be willing to bet that's why it's still around - It was someone's pride and joy and a huge investment.

At what point did consumers stop being willing to pay for quality?

Can you post some more pictures of the rail?

I have some old rusty ones, but I thought they were all the same.

Consumers will pay for quality. It's up to the manufacturers to provide it.

Congratulations.  I can't imagine the excitement when you put it in your truck to get it home.
