Mod Month September 2016
« on: August 22, 2016, 06:12:48 PM »

It is that time of year to show off all your hard work and dedication to making the best and most versatile outdoor cooker, even better.

We are dedicating September this year to Mod Month, member Marty started this a few years back and we are continuing the tradition.

We want pics of your work, we want a story, necessity of the mother of invention so tell us why.

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 winners

Post your submissions in the Weber Grill Forum: Charcoal & Accessories forum here http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/

Start a new topic

Prefix the entry with Mod Month -

Entries will be submitted between Sept 1st and 30th.

Post lots of pictures and tell us how you did your work.

*Credit to @56MPG for the awesome poster

I have a rat rod in mind myself, and it's a three-wheeler...

Just need to sharpen my chainsaw blade.

And if anyone wants a poster-size version of the poster to download and print, I'll have a link to the hi-res 18x24 version ready on Sunday.

Is there a link to the earlier mod month threads? I haven't seen them.

Search: Mod Month Master Thread. The first two entries are the 2014 and 2015 competitions. I can't hot link the threads from where I am for some reason.

Dropping the sticky on this for now. More people see non-stickies.

For you poster fans, here's a link to the full size (18" X 24") hi-res poster you can download from my Flickr page. You'll need to grab the "Original" size to get the full 300dpi version. I've had good luck printing at Walgreen's in the past - but other places might have good quality printers too. Watch for sales on poster size prints. Note that this version has the actual dates of the competition listed, rather than "Coming in September". Also note the links to the 2014 and 2015 Master Threads above each image of the past competitions. So much good stuff - I can't wait to see what the grillfellas come up with this year!

I put a black tube cap on the front leg of a 26.5 Pat. Pending instead of white. Does that count?
