Pizza Variety 8/19
« on: August 20, 2016, 07:11:30 AM »
For this pizza cook, I wanted to try some different toppings. I asked my two daughters if they wanted to recommend anything and my youngest suggested bbq chicken pizza and my oldest said to keep is simple lol. I wanted mushrooms and black olives!

I prepped all of the ingredients first, as this is the most time consuming part, so I wouldn’t panic and forget anything. I then made a single batch of the dough that I like and cut it into equal thirds. Once all of that was set, I built my fire the same way I always do. Same set-up, same everything...

Time to start cookin!

BBQ Chicken Pizza

Blues Hog Original as a base (awesome flavor!)
Chicken Breast Chunks (I did a rotisserie chicken a couple nights ago and saved some)
Fresh Grated Mozzarella
Fresh Mozzarella
Fresh Grated Parmesan
Thin Sliced Red Onion
Rough Chopped Cilantro (added after pizza was done)

Plain Cheese Pizza

Trader Joe’s “Tomato Basil Marinara”
Fresh Grated Mozzarella
Fresh Mozzarella
Fresh Grated Parmesan

A short video to show how I make sure this doesn’t end up in a big pile.

Mushroom, Black Olive and Prosciutto Pizza

Trader Joe’s “Tomato Basil Marinara”
Fresh Grated Mozzarella
Fresh Mozzarella
Fresh Grated Parmesan
Thin Slice Mushrooms
Black Olives
Prosciutto
About 1tbsp Fresh Crushed Garlic
Thin Cut Green Onion
Added a bit more Green Onion after it was done.

They cook pretty quick, so I keep a close eye on things.

My youngest and her boyfriend devoured the BBQ Pizza and my oldest ate most of the Cheese Pizza. I had a slice of each and a couple slices of the Mushroom Pizza. Saved the rest for lunch on Saturday!

Thanks for looking!
