Tonight's cook
« on: July 09, 2016, 07:11:12 PM »

Small pork loin and stuffed squash.

Tomorrow I'm going to dry run a snake to prep for my first pork butt next weekend.

Very nice. How did you do the squash?

The pork loin isn't stuffed.

I boiled the squash until they were soft then cut in half lengthwise. Scraped out the inside of the squash into a bowl and mixed it with chopped onions and cheese. Then put the cheese mix back into the squash and covered with a piece of bacon. Threw them on the grill as the pork finished up.

First time I've tried it on the grill game out good. Since it was at the end of the cook didn't get much of a smoke flavor but still tasted better than being done in the oven.

Nice cookup !!!

Interesting way to go about the squash.....I mostly load them in foil & bake on kettle from raw, but may test out your method soon ( mine aren't growing well, but a buddy's got a bunch coming!!)

    Covered, damper-controlled cooking.....IF YOU PLEASE !!!
