Marlboro handle on my 18.5
« on: July 07, 2016, 11:33:35 AM »
A couple months ago I picked up a WGA gasser for cheap just for the Marlboro handles. Having a ridiculous # of grills, I had a hard time deciding which to swap out. Then it hit me- DOH!- the WSM is a smoker.   :o

To prevent this handle from getting gunked-up like the white one did, I added a mini mod to protect it.

After a baby back cook:

I also have a 14.5 and a 22.5. Not sure how I'm gonna use the last two Marlboros.

One of the worst things our beloved Weber ever did was stop using wooden handles.

Great recycling.  Impressive to see the amount of discoloration after just one cook.

An empty Bush's baked bean can with the bottom cut out fits perfectly on the top vent. No chance of it melting.

Looks good with the new handle.
I've got Webers. 10 - WSMs, 5 - 22.5" kettles, 2 - 18.5" kettle, 2 - SJS, 2 - SJP, 4 - WGA, 1 vintage Coolie Pan
