52" Weber Kettle?
« on: June 24, 2016, 04:22:26 PM »

What are the odds of acquiring two 26"ers in one day? A "Patent Pending" (69-70) Fleetwood and a almost brand new one.  I have named the Fleetwood "chop top" due to the unique slant of the bent handle. Kinda cool. The new one came from CL, both on the same day.  Had some Zav's waiting for a moment like this. Thank you Alvin @argentflame for the gift of the old flat top and Brian @zavod44 for both the handles and the tip on removing dents with the rubber mallet.  Came in handy on "chop top" as it led a abused life. The lid would not fit over the bowel when I got it.  All good now except it is missing one of its MBH's. Anyone out there have a spare, black MBH for sale?  I would like to have one welded back on.

I think it's time for an intervention.

That Fleetwood definitely needs some help, but after seeing your cleanup on the red 22" a little while back, I'd say chop tops in good hands. That new one looks so pristine with those handles, Jim. That's a beaut. Good score on both!

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.  Seriously.  I did sell one last week though.

Jim great job on fixing the dents and cleaning the flat top. You will enjoy cooking on the newer 26r.

It is high figured cedar that Brian (Zavod) had for sale on Ebay a few weeks ago. I didn't really have a use for them at the time but they were way to beautiful and unique not to grab.  They are stunning against the black.
