18" age question
« on: June 13, 2016, 05:53:05 PM »
Hola, quick question about a grill I just purchased at a garage sale recently.  It's an 18" with an "E" which, by using the age guide on this site would be an 83.  Do all grills manufactured that year get the same designation?
I would like to share pictures but struggling once again with the downloads. I'll keep working on this.

Nice find! To 1911Rons point, yes all kettles made in the same year will have the same letter date code on the lid vent. 1983 E is the first year for One touch kettles. If I recall, the 83-early 90s? 18 One touch kettles had the larger sweeper slots/vents? Can someone verify that?
