Testing out the new Weber gourmet sear grate...............
« on: March 16, 2013, 08:51:45 PM »
Last night it was teriyaki chicken. Fired up the Blue Shark.

Served with a little more teriyaki Schiracha and a few drops of peanut sauce on a bed of organic baby romaine.

Tonight it was T-bones rubbed with cowboy.

Perfect! No steak sauce needed.

A side note, I pulled out the charcoal grate to lower the coal and set an old charcoal basket on the bottom. It set right on the tabs. I wanted grill marks and a raging fire would have charred the meat to where I couldn't see them. It worked out pretty well. I also should thank Ken MC for sending this over to me.  I am giving it the thumbs up. :)

Awesome looking food! I got my sear grate system for Christmas and it's my new favorite toy. The outer grate is definitely heavier than the standards. BTW do you have a 26" leg kit on that blue 22? Or is it just 8" wheels on a standard leg kit?

Yes Craig, it's a leg kit from a 26 and 8 inch wheels. It gives it that euro look. I think even the euros are starting to put lid bales on, so I was a step ahead of them for once. They just don't have the sweet blue we have. It's hard to recognize some of the things we Americans have available to us when the euros are so favored with so many items that weber could also offer us.

So that's the 22 triangle on there too isn't it? Don't know why I'm thinking the triangle would have to different, cool idea.
