After cleaning, a bit rougher than hoped, but still a cooker. One of the legs is done for. I figure I can fix it. Still, looks pretty good.

One of the legs is buggered, lots of enamel damaged. Still, will make a good cooker.

Is there a brand of high heat paint that is a good match?

The paint will eventually turn black over time … Unless it's kept away from direct heat.
I had that happen to a red 18 that I restored in 2013.  I'm glad I did it, as it was a learning experience …. I will not do it again.

Engine paint? Brake caliper paint? It all goes bad at some point? Just asking?

I imagine if painting were a viable option, there would be no black kettles on this site.
Still need a 22” yellow

Let me make this clear. Is there a high heat paint that is a close match to a 2001 blue? I don't give a crap about painting being a viable option, or about paint turning black.
I just need a close match.

Caliper paint is best.  Engine and exhaust paint will hold for a while. Nothing lasts forever though.

Brands are duplicolor, vht.

Yup, caliper paint is what I used.  Not too sure if there is a good match for the blue.

Do you have a local autobody shop / store that specializes in paint or color-matching?  I have one local to me.  Haven't checked it out yet.

Show us some pics of the areas of concern.  I would personally do nothing when it comes to paint.  Just apply some vegetable oil / spray from time to time.

As for the buggered leg, maybe find a kettle for cheap and swap out the leg.  Is it a wheel leg, or the non-wheel leg ??

If it's the front leg. Go to the hardware store and buy 1inch aluminum tubing and cut to fit. I've done this before worked out grate.

My bad, it's not the leg itself, it's the socket.  A few of the welds let go. Nothing a few fender washers won't fix.
