It did bolt right on but I need to take it back off and sand the metal.  Underneath the old handle was a rough surface with some rust.  As you can see I could not tighten it to mate the two pieces together fully.

There are two dimples I think you need to grind off of those....
Vintage Weber Grill raconteur and bon vivant.....and definitely Sir Agent X
