Wifes First Charcoal Cook
« on: April 12, 2016, 07:28:43 AM »
My wife said she would grill last night :o. Would I go and start the grill? (She meant the gas). When she came outside and found the Charcoal going she said "What? I cant use that THING!" THING!? I said >:(. This Thing is a early 1970's 18" Red WEBER!

Now come on I'll help you ;D

Seasoned the chicken with Tastefully Simple "Green Tea Peppercorn Seasoning" and towards the end put Tastefully Simple Smoky Bacon BBQ Sauce. Also added Pepper Jack Cheese! She did a good job

Chicken seasoned and on the grill!

Put some sauce on them

Say Cheese!!!

Cover to melt

Done and worth the wait

I've heard rumors of such a thing happening , but to see it in the wild like this is priceless.

All kidding aside , great looking meal !  my wife loves to cook she's a great help behind the scenes with bacon weaves , stuffing abts and things like that but she's yet to man or woman the grill ...ill have to show her this :) thanks for posting

So did she realize she was smiling, also? You trickster, you!

My kids know how to "shut down the grill" and the youngest can almost start it up. If/when I convert from piezo to electric start that will help. The oldest one still asks, "Isn't it illegal to start fires?"

Anytime I help a friend acquire one, the WIFE always gets a lesson so that she'll at least know how to shut it down, if not start it. After that, if she wants to not be helpful, that's on HER.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Warms my heart that does. Does your wife have a single female relative who lives up in Southern Ontario? Just asking.
"Why do you have so many bbq's?"....."I just like lookin' at em' sometimes....and I have enough purses and shoes"

Warms the heart to see our better halves grilling-my missus may-one day succumb to the dark side and get some bad boys on the grill-about the same time as man lands on Mars!!
