Team WKC OZ is packed and ready for the annual pilgrimage to the biggest comp outside of the states with just under 100 teams competing.
As usual we are taking a swag of kettles and can't wait for this 4 day event
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

What a weekend!!! Probably our best turn out yet. 6th in Brisket and 3rd in Chefs Choice with over 90 teams competing
We left on Thursday morning and drove 3hrs to the comp at Port Macquarie. The comp is at a Caravan park which runs along the break wall leading to the ocean with a great surfing beach at the end of the wall. Evan and I were lucky to get some good waves over the weekend.
At late notice we had a production company come onboard and sponsor us and they sent a film crew to video and photograph us over the weekend. Which just quietly was really cool!
Gotta say our retro/ vintage setup was a real hit. Everyone loves the colour and the old kettles
This is our 2nd comp as a team and we keep stepping it up each event.
Our chicken sponsor supplied us with 60kg/ 130lb of chicken to cook up and hand out to the punters passing by. So we cooked up 100 serves of Greek style chicken gyro kebabs with salad and tzatziki sauce. Plus wings and poppers. It was a lot of work and a lot of fun. And definitely a highlight for our team for the season
Anyway here's some more pics with hopefully a video to come

Also a massive congrats to @kendoll and Michelle for a brilliant effort in their first comp.
I hope you enjoyed it and are ready for the next one.
And @JayCee for his third time judging. We need seasoned judges like yourself to keep the quality at a high standard
