Paella!!
« on: February 27, 2016, 06:36:06 PM »
First time making this dish for me. It was a complete roller coaster ride but worth every minute of it. I think this cook had way more luck and lot of encouragement for my friend than any skill on my part. In the end it was fantastic but I'm ready to do it again and tweak it out so it's even better. The best part is I didn't burn the rice which I guess can happen very easily and it'll wreck the rest delicate seafood. I'd like to hear comments from others who make this. Lots of pics below.

From the looks of it, you hit a home run with that cook! My mom bought me one of those pans a couple weeks ago and I promised I would make this for her. Thanks for the inspiration!

That looks outstanding!  Thanks for the pics showing the step-by-step.
I hope to try this sometime on my recently acquired Weber Manturion Griddle.

Few questions @RumBar , does the rice go on uncooked, or cooked?  Just wondering.

Also, how many did your cook-up feed?

Thanks.  :D  I need to do some research.  :) :)
Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

Wow...absolutely incredible.  I'm curious, what would you do differently next time you make it?

It would have fed 8-10 people easily.

I used no spices, not even any salt. I wanted a base line to begin with. I would definitely use some of the Weber Korean BBQ seasoning plus I might try marinating the pork. I also used chicken breast but I'd like to try leg meat or possibly thigh meat.
