Patience pays off
« on: January 07, 2016, 07:37:33 PM »
Been looking for a used performer for over a year now. Very scarce in this area, few here and there for $200 plus. Tuesday night I was browsing CL and saw an ad for one about 2 hours away..for $50!!!
Had phone # in listing so I called immediately and they still had it. Made arrangements to pick up Wednesday. Nice little road trip, and great deal on the grill. 2010 black performer in very nice shape. Did a 30 minute cleanup after work today and gonna break it in tomorrow night with some yard bird and sausages. Think I'm gonna Love this performer touch n go gas lights ya charcoal deal[emoji2]

Nice find Sir.  The Weber Performer is the workhorse of every stable.  You're going to love it.  You stayed the course, had patience and got a heck of a deal which always makes the food taste that much better.  Well done!

Wow, nice. The Performer is the grinder of the grills, always working. I always pull mine out even if it's not going to cook, just to light the chimney and be a table.

I would have taken it for $50

I'd have taken that one for $100!     $50 is borderline theft, and a really sweet score.

@demosthenes9  I agree. I didn't try to haggle a bit....I was shocked to find it for $50...lid has a little rim rash, but overall it's in awesome shape. Gonna fire it up in a couple hours and burn some yard bird

Congrats @firedude5015 ! You're absolutely right, patience will pay off… the grills will come when they're supposed to.
