Pepper Stout Beef and more kielbasa
« on: January 02, 2016, 04:20:50 PM »
Last night I made pepper stout beef for the first time.  WOW.  That is going onto the regular rotation.  Thanks for the inspiration everyone.  Just a couple of things...I was going to stick it in the crock pot then thought of all the PSB I'd seen on here.  Dumped the carrots, onions, celery, and pepper out of the crock pot.  I'd already poured a cup of red wine into the bottom of the crock pot, so that got added to the beer.  I liked the flavor.  It was on the performer for about three hours with applewood, then I stuck it in a 325 oven at 4pm.  We went to see Star Wars and got home at around 7:45.  Oh man, was it good.  Sorry no pics once it was shredded...

Today kielbasa one more time.  This time with beer and onions.

I'll be sad to see this Christmas break go...but man I've gained some weight... :D

I went skiing with some friends over New Years and they brought up some PSB I'd made a year ago. It's just wonderful stuff...
